Building tip for mounting Team Orion VST2 690 sized motors in your 8ight-e 3.0

Building tip for mounting Team Orion VST2 690 sized motors in your 8ight-e 3.0

Recently we have build two TLR 8ight-E 3.0 kits. Because these cars had to be the fastest on the track we have chosen the VST2 engines from Team Orion (1900v and 2100v). These motors generates so much power and that's why the mounting points have been changed from M3 to M4. The standard motor adapter in the 8ight-E kit is M3 so you have to do something to get your job done.

First possible solution is to dremel the standard adapter to M4 but that's not the best option. TLR has now also a factory build M4 adapter with part number TLR242015.

Are you planning a TLR 8ight-e 3.0 build with Team Orion's fastest 690 sized motor? Please order also the new adapter so you have all necessary parts available during the building process!
