The RCOB Spring Cross 2015 is in the books. Today we have driven this cross at Molenschot and as usual RC Offroad Brabant (RCOB) has spend a lot of time and energy to give all drivers a great track and perfect racing day. This time not a specific Losi Shortcourse class but 4WD in common. So nice to see all those different type of cars competing to each other in a sportsman way!
Hereby the Top3 of today's 4WD class:
1. Rob van der Zanden
2. Ralf van Hattum
3. Johan Vissers
Personal note from our Crew Rider Ralf van Hattum:
Today it was great. The track was really fast and strange enough the extreme bumps and holes which we are familiar with on these kind of surfaces didn't exist here. This is why we were able to drive all day long fast lap times and give the public some great drifting spectacle.
The qualifications went perfect. All three finished 1st so the TQ (Top Qualifier) was in the pocket. The MIP shocks really helped me a lot. These shocks are really amazing and gives the Losi a completely new driving experience. On the straight part of the track there were some holes where most of the cars have been struggling with. This suspension upgrade is given the driver much less unpredictable behavior and that's exactly where a competition driver is looking for. #33 was driving like a Cadillac!
Pole position at the main final. With the results of the qualifications nothing could happen wrong, I thought... Some external influences makes that it was impossible to drive on front of the drivers field. Very frustrating to know that your car is in an excellent condition and personally having the perfect vibe. Still with all these positives i could't drive my own race. Very disappointed.
Sometimes 2nd feels like winning, sometimes as a loss. The 2nd place today was a big loss unfortunately. Usually i am able to accept a loss at ease when there is a technical failure on the car or blew a race all by myself but that wasn't the case this time. Next time better!
