Ryan Maifield | 4.0 Under the Hood Party

Ryan Maifield did a incredible job at the Dirt Nitro Challenge 2016. Ryan is Team Losi Racing Factory driver and the Lewis Hamilton in RC Offroad racing. Because Ryan is involved with all the developments he is always using the latest cars and parts. We take a look at his 8ight scale cars.

Thanks to our Dutch friends at RedRC for the detailed pictures!

Ryan was on fire during the qualifications and was the fastest in every round. Starting from pole he had a hard time during the final and changed positions frequently with his competitors. A few corners before the end he took the 1st place and finished in this position. A great result and the new 4.0 e-buggy is almost unbeatable!

Ryan started from pole position in the Pro Truggy class. The 4.0 truggy chassis was released just before the Dirt and a huge compliment for the team to became Top Qualifier. The 45 minute final started and Ryan was the fastest and took a comfortable lead. The team decided to schedule a 9-minute pit strategy which was good. The last pitstop the team decided to keep Ryan on track for another round and the engine runs out of fuel while Ryan was running on the 1st place. This mistake resulted in a loss of some very important seconds and Ryan ended 5th overall.

The nitro buggy class is the most important and spectacular. Ryan wanted this winning so badly and after his TQ he had a good starting point in the main final. The final itself was hard and the track rough because of all the racing activities during the Dirt. Ryan was in a lead and everything seemed that he was winning this final. A small handling mistakes took his 8ight of the driving line and Ryan looses his 1st spot to Ryan Cavalieri. A second place in this Pro class was the best he could and a big compliment to the team for this fantastic result.
